I cannot believe this newsgroup.. Has Christmas completely overwhelmned us
all? Come on guys.. with this pretty weather, it's a shame that ride
reports aren't all over the state... Couldn't ask for more perfect weather
to air these things out.. For the ones who like their leathers, it is
ideal.. For the ones who are a little dressier and like the designer
clothes, who could ask for more.. Damn.. it is gorgeous motorcycle
    weather...

Hey... hit it boys and girls.. don't pass up on the chance to run 'em during
this ideal weather.. That Green Vulcan is pouting and all sulled up out
there on my patio.. I'm sulled up in the living room.. <chuckle>

LOL.. He don't ride at this time.. A few weeks ago, he announced that he'd
sold his motorcycle.. Since that time, it was pointed out that the
motorcycle was repossessed by the finance company..

And I asked in a previous post what a
He doesn't know.. hmmmm... All the claims he's made about the different
motorcycles that he's owned has been speculation..No one has ever claimed to
have ridden with him, or even to have seen the dude.. Depends mostly on
which newsgroup he is trying to impress, what kind of bike he is riding..

hmmmm... Texdays has quite a reputation on usenet.. huh ?
According to his typical MO, Texdays will disappear for a while and later,
he'll surface again after undergoing some sort of "immaculate conversion"
into church.. He'll become extremely religious and patriotic with "feel
good" postings directed toward prayer meetings, "group hugs" and support for
our military .. Regards to everyone, see you next month.. btw.. Don't wear
out that Softtail before I get down there..

I told him before (when he first showed up in this group...after being run
off from rmh) that if he can't handle a couple extra pounds of weight on a
motorcycle, he should stick to a car. He didn't like that, but since then
    he's claimed a couple bikes...but never said "I own" or "I ride".

Whew.. sure am glad I never showed the Mexican how to turn on this 'puter..
And, I ain't giving her the password to "Outlook", just in case.. LMAO..
that was a sure 'nuff good little ride, pard..

You guys showed me some parts of that area that I'd never seen before..
Every stop was an adventure and the roads were nothing less than perfect..
Some of those "low bridges" could have been on a picture postcard..

We've gotta do it again, just as soon as we can.. BTW.. I need to practice
two up transferring while doing 70 mph, also.. LOL.. I got a bigger kick out
of that one than anything else... I bet that ol' boy flinches every time a
green motorcycle pulls up alongside of him...

I rode all day Sunday. Stayed in N Texas tho.
No destinations in mind, I left the house with my g'friend and headed out.
We were just wanting to check out a couple of nice roads I've heard rumors
    about.
North out of Garland and up the west side of Lake Lavon, thru Lucas, is a
local favorite way out of town for me. The road to McKinney (FM 546) has
some nice sweepers, but traffic keeps the speed down.

Jetting up 75 to Van Alstyne takes us to the next nice road. Taking FM121
east to Pilot Grove, and north on 69 to Whitewright, we stopped for a drink
at a gas station. Seeing about 20 sport bikes got me curious. "Hey bud, what
roads are you riding today?" I ask one rider. He pointed north . "About a
mile that way, take a left on 697 to Sherman. We go that way, and come back
on 121." Sure enough, it's got some cool sweepers and good pavement. We make
a couple of runs at that one.

East to Randolph, searching for a road a chapter guy told me about. We find
it. FM896 south to Leonard isn't curvy, but the scenery makes up for it.
There road is flat for the most part, but goes straight through probably the
only hill for a dozen miles. There are a couple of places were you might
catch a bit of air if you are going fast enough, or so it feels.

We ride back north on some dirt roads, just for the adventure. We pass
farms, houses, kids on horses, who are most likely thinking "What the
hell...?". There were a couple of spots it would be hard to get a car
through, but we didn't have much problem. It was a bit nostalgic to ride a
bike with some 1930's technology on 1930's style roads. We hit pavement and
    stop for another drink.

"Where ya'll headed?" one guy asks. I'm looking at my map. "We are trying to
get lost." I say. "I never seen anyone with a map trying to get lost", he
laughs. "We are looking for some good motorcycle roads in the area. Got any
suggestions?" "You could take a road south of Randolph..." "Just came from
there." "Well, there's this road to Van Alstyne..." "Been there earlier."
"Hmmm", he thinks. "Ya'll hungry? There's a little place on Carpenter's
Bluff that's popular with bikes. Next to an old one lane bridge across the
Red River. It's just north of Bells. Go to Ambrose and follow the river to
the right. Can't miss it. Good burgers". I've heard of the place but never
been, so we head there for some late lunch. Nice n' greasy. Good onion rings
    too, I might add.

the backroads for the run back into DFW.. LMAO.. seems like when I am
forced off the road by some damn doctor (the ugly bitch).. then everybody

Yeah, not only is she a looker, but she's one fine rider as well.

She's the one that went with me to Roswell, leaving a Friday night in a
thunderstorm, riding all night in chilly weather, then leaving Roswell an
hour after we got there to go to Lawton. That was almost an ironbutt. She
didn't complain, didn't squirm, and only fell asleep twice. I had to wake
her to keep her from falling off.

She went with me on an earlier trip to Hot Springs, and north to Branson
(you may remember my posts). She tucked in tight in the curves, never got
tired after 2+ hours without a stop, never asked me to slow down even though
I was dragging floorboards. I asked her how she liked the road and she said
"I like it very much. I just wish those slow people would get out of the
way." Damn, that tickled something inside me. She's a great lady.

And I'm glad you noticed her smile. She smiles with her whole face. And I've
never met anyone as sweet as Mouse.
