Who honestly cares? He sang some good songs, made a lot of people happy
and some people don't like him for it. There's much worse out there to
    concentrate on.
I'm just guessing, but hey - he might have more than one house. Crazy
as it sounds, I would buy a second house before I bought a theme park to
    go in my back garden.

I don't care what he sang, he's a kiddy fiddler. He hides it by paying lots
    of money to victims.
    Like speeding bikes.

Watch it - they don't half jump on you if you dare to think he's
    innocent before proven.

    Didn't you read the article?
"...nearly a decade after Jackson, now 45, settled a lawsuit filed on behalf
of a boy who had done sleepovers at Neverland Ranch while he was 13 and
    accused Jackson of molesting him."

Now ask yourself; why would he pay compensation for something he didn't do?
I accept that Jackson may be a target for golddiggers, but with his wealth
(and expensive lawyers), it would take a pretty strong case to make
allegations stick. Anyone wanting to pursue a case of this sort would need
    lots of proof.

Except that he is nowhere near as rich as people imagine him to be. The
costs of his lifestyle are enormous, many of his investments have
reduced in value and he has not had a successful album and associated
single sales for many years [1].

There are also persistent rumours that he has lost his creative edge as
well as being intolerant of many of the producers who offered to produce
    his most recent album (Invincible).

[1] in comparison to his previous releases.
    <gm>

While I am a fan of his music (especially his earlier stuff) I would
prefer to see the due process of the law carried out. However there is
virtually no chance whatsoever of the man getting fair and unbiased
treatment given his celebrity status and the willingness of most people
to believe the gutter press before engaging their brain cells.

Despite the statements from the District Attorney in California there is
far too much of a coincidence that the announcement (after months of
investigation?!?!) should just be made when his new Greatest Hits album
is released and he is preparing for a new single to be launched. If
nothing else this is opportunism on the part of the police and judicial
    authorities in California.

Actually it is a major propaganda coup which has been pulled off by Bin
    Liner and his mates.

Think of what news this will be displacing in every God fearing Middle
    American home right now.

The Throwback should be front page news out there at the moment. His
evil little face smiling and getting the wheels in motion for his
election campaign and the Queen, bless her Hignessness, cruelly duped by
the slippery little oik in the too sharp suit into pretending to like
him so that he can get more votes.

Rock on Bin Liner. One paed down and one fascist **** pushed firmly to
one side. It is not all about throwing bombs you know.

But as he's been accused it's too late already. Even if the latest
thing is false, MJ will be a "kiddy fiddler" just like John Leslie will
never be not a rapist. The seeds of doubt have been sown.

If so, whoever advised that was a complete idiot. That sort of tactic would
leave him wide open for the same thing again.
If innocent, he should have fought it tooth and nail.

    Why?

    - Because he doesn't want the stress of a court case
    - Because he wants to minimise the story going to the press to minimise
the damage to his business (selling records to Children is probably not
something he'll do as well if he's convicted as a paedophile)
    - Because it's simply easier and quicker to kill it by dropping some
    cash
    - Because he could earn more in the time it takes to defend the case by
    working rather than attending court
    - Because he's innocent but the circumstances are such that a court is
    likely to convict him

I'm sure there are many more.

Is he guilty? I don't know. Mind you, I wouldn't let my son sleep over
    with him...
