I ordered one on Friday from a random supplier on Amazon. £129 quid.
The same seller is now selling them for 185 quid so I suppose that
doesn't come under your definition of a good price.

Seems like market forces are at play with both Wii's and DS's.

Woolies are doing them for £116 including a game and they seem to be
the only people who have stock in right now.

DS + any game for £109, but of course they don't have any.

That's what I found. I went round everywhere in Worcester, Solihull
and used the "collect in store" services for PC World, Argos and DSG
within a 50 mile radius of my house on Friday and had no joy, hence
    the Amazon order.

Cheeky cunts just trying to rip people off. I sell them for just 50 quid
    when I've not got any.

Loads of places like that. Woollies have loads of empty boxes on the
shelves to look like they have some and a little sign underneath
    saying they don't.

I don't know if they've changed the price for xmas but Tesco were
about the cheapest a couple of months ago.

    you beauty!

Just ordered (and the silver one, which is what she wanted, is only
    £95).

    Consider yourself owed a pint.

I consider myself pissed off, because I ordered one from an Amazon
Marketplace seller last week and paid 130 quid. And it turned out to
be an American import which wasn't mentioned in the listing. Not that
that matters too much as they're the same machine and the seller did
send a UK PSU with it.

I can't be arsed to send it back though as their customer service
doesn't look too stunning. Mea culpa.

I am always wary of ordering from Marketplace sellers (and I see
Bear's had loads of problems with them too).

Aye, if I'd known Amazon themselves would be getting more stock, I'd
    have waited.

As I'm sure I've mentioned before, I wish there was a way of filtering
Amazon's search results to exclude Marketplace sellers.

The only problem I've ever had with a Marketplace seller, and at least
half my Amazon stuff seems to come from them these days, is a book that
took a week longer to be delivered than I'd expected. The trick is to
    check the feedback *before* ordering.

Maybe I'm just astonishingly lucky. Or maybe I'm the exception that
    proves the rule (sic).

I've had very few problems ordering items via Marketplace, but I
normally by only cheap stuff like CDs and books via Marketplace.

in reply to yourself and Ogden - I said I'm wary, not that I don't do
it. This wariness takes the form of only doing what you do i.e. buying
cheap stuff from marketplace sellers. I certainly wouldn't buy
something costing more than a hundred quid.

Jeez, I knew they'd go fast, but that's impressive. Glad you got one
    sorted.

I've not had any problems with MarketPlace refunds so far. I realise
    Bear's experience differs though.
