Any one else having problems with it?

Agent often takes around 5 minutes to download say 400 headers from four
or so NGs. Once Agent's got the headers it downloads the bodies quickly
    enough.

    I'm guessing it's a news server problem?

What's the score with this German server nonsense?

  2. came into sight through the beans and said
Their email's running slow as well. Seems to happen with Nildram every
now and again, usually sorts itself out after a couple of hours.

Are you sure it's not an Agent setting? I had a very similar problem
at one time, caused by Agent downloading *all* the headers every time.
There's a checkbox for it somewhere in the Options menu in Agent 1.93
(seems to have gone AWOL in Agent 3).

No, I'm not having a problem with it. But I'm having a problem with
Xananews marking read replies to my posts automatically. Any way of
    switching it off?
Subscribe, pay €10 and never ever worry again.

    Sorted.

Now that you mention it, my Agent does this from time to time. I
assume it's to do with a tired database or somesuch. It only does it
on one newsgroup and all of the others, nomatter how many posts, are
normal speed. Try downloading the last thousand headers a few times
and it seems to go away.

  10. Sample the last hundred headers occasionally and it speeds things up.

Unless you're a thick **** who just deletes mail from click and buy
assuming it's crook (1) and then forgets that the last 4 digits on
their card changed when the issuer changed to chip and pin.

The same thick **** continues to ignore emails wanting bank details
until the penny finally drops and a groveling email resolves the
    situation.

    (1) crook along the lines of the HSBC on line banking scams that keep
    being sent to me.
