    Oh dear, a spacker response.

  2. 'Oh dear' is right. This is where I point out that you didn't understand
    my response.

And then you say: 'well, explain it, then'. Which I do.

And then you say: 'hah! I _did_ understand it, and it's still a "spacker
    response"'

And so then I say: 'no you fucking didn't, otherwise you'd never have
    responded the way you did'.

And then UKRM as one chimes in to whine, 'nyar nyar, des is a ****!'

In an ever-changing world, it's sort of reassuring to see that UKRM still
does its level best to prove the axiom that bikers are as thick as shit.
Which isn't really your fault. But the oft-repeated mantra that the
'collective IQ' of UKRM is higher than elsewhere is - if any of you really
    believes it - fucking _terrifying_.

  6. 'Kin'ell. Half a dozen postings and he's singing the same tired tune and
    has already started irritating people.

    It's a gift, I tell you.

Didn't you decide you were going to be Jewish and take yourself off to
    Palestine?

What did you expect? This is UKRM.
And did you have prefectorial authorization for the videos you published
of the view from your flat or the drive around Montmartre?

There are ways and means of being able to publish it in all legality
    without any problems at all.
I note that google street view is still in existence too in France.

Maybe, but the quality on the video wasn't bad at all. Any iPhone app
    won't match it at all.

Oh, and I'll be damned if I'm strapping my iPhone to my lid to film
    anyway. :)

  18. I was thinking of a basic webcam and a Blootueth link. Or something.

Quite, but it's still fairly controlled in France to a certain degree.
For example it's quite common to see number plates blacked out; faces
smudged on reports; video reports being shown mirror imaged to try and
"hide" adverts and other identifying marks; logos on T-shirts being
    smudged out, etc, etc, etc.

On the same subject but at a slight tangent, one of the companies I
work with uses security cameras on their site. They've had to install
a system whereby when the camera moves and films the street, the
images are blacked out. It's quite weird to see a shot of the partner
site on one side of the image and a black smudge on the street side.

Ah, I see. It could work I suppose, but having seen the video on the
site, it still won't have the same quality.
