Sometimes changes give unexpected results. Years ago when they repaved
parts of Laguna Seca there were a lot of crashes after removing bumps.
Took a while to figure out why. Best anyone could come up with was
that the old bumps broke traction forcing the speeds down while
allowing space to recover traction between them. With the bumps gone
the riders were spending more time near the limits of traction. And
when they exceeded it there was no better traction to recover on.
Removing the dip will increase the speeds, creating a whole new set of
    problems.
