Used in Supermoto a lot. Hoik the front end down on the suspension, clip a little clippy wossname on and viola! instant lowered and non-extending front suspension. It un-clips as soon as you grab the brakes so giving back the normal suspension travel. Makes a big difference to the start, as you say, no wasting power / forward travel to just extend the suspension. flook
