I'd also ask if can fit saddlebags and or a rack.
And is the tank suitable for a tank bag.
How's the fuel economy? Does it run OK in traffic? Thinking of keeping
it solely as a weekend bike so need to be sure it's fine for use as a
    commuter for every other day.
    Is this LAMS approved?

Ignoring, for a moment, the asking price, if I was interested in this
bike, I'd want to know if it had a compliance plate and, if yes, what
    year is shown.

Like Zebee, I'd want to see this supposed previous rego document.

But <shrug> since they are looking for something like ten times what I'd
pay for it, it doesn't really matter.

    regards,

IT is a legal requirement to have the VIN or engine number if no VIN.

That is a law? Just a NSW thing is it? I thought supplying a VIN in an
advert was just a courtesy to allow people to perform a
    stolen/encumbered vehicle registry check.

Might be. I seem to recall a note from ebay saying it, and I'm fairly
    certain NSW requires it.

You must have been one of them cops that raided Amaroo Park at a race meeting
decades ago and confiscated all those TZ's and RS's as stolen bikes as they
had no compliance plate nor VIN number

its a custom made frame, there'd be no rego... have a look at the website
where theres an article on it being built
