Well, the weather was just too nice early yesterday afternoon, and I was aware of the changes coming, so I decided to take a little spin around my part of the country. I like to cruise the backroads and streets of my area, so I tried to see just how far north I could go without using a major highway or four lane road. Made it all the way to Hwy 170 near Trophy Club, and then decided to turn west. Headed out Hwy 170, enjoying the opportunity to twist the wrist on the old Hoggy Doggerson. You know, even bone stock, she still runs just fine. Pulls enough to suit me right now, and gets out of most everybody's way. :-) Ended up at IH-35W, and decided to head back south. Traffic on the freeway wasn't too bad, but I didn't intend to stay on it long. I found another little east/west road to get me back to my neighborhood. All in all, a real short ride. It was sure nice, though. I saw lots of bikes out, and had a nice little chat with a guy riding a SV650. Looking outside this morning, I'm glad I rode yesterday. There's a dusting of snow on the ground, with more falling each minute. For us here in the DFW area, that amounts to total shutdown. :-) Merry Christmas to all...
