Nice jacket, but pricey ?

Gave up on the idea of bidding on this as I was hoping it was going to
remain somewhat lower since its "well used" but its apparent there is a
market premium on theses classic leathers. Aside from the classic style, and
obvious high quality when first made, is there a specific reason they are so
expensive I was wondering ?

 

£161 quid !!! Bloody hell I have some old TT leathers Jackets from the 70's

 

I've still got my first Pride & Shark jacket from the 60's. I've laid it
down like a fine wine for the boy.

Actually, I thought **** it my old leathers arent that bad if a little
"character marked" (read accident scorched), but thats what it must
apparently be all about, rather than style obviously.
So I have applied Renapur to help revitalise the distressed styling, and
back on it will go.

Mind you thats an Akito jacket. Not *quite* the same is it ?

 

Out of interest, any information if anyone doing this style as a modern
version ?

This auction is pretty much the same as my old jacket. Hence explaining why
this poor fuckers hasn't sold. My textile jacket is pretty fucked as well so
really need a new one and its got to be a classic looking leather.
