I think so, a man-meets-tarmac incident only need happen once to potentially
affect the rest of your life. I'd rather minimise the effects of that
    interface.
    Thanks mate :)

I prefer to use the "not fucking crashing" gambit myself.

actually, I nearly crashed yesterday morning on the way to work - one
way street with cars parked on the left hand side, and a bus stopped
at a bus stop behind the cars. Just as I was passing the bus, the ****
just pulled out - and I mean right out so that there was no room to
actually pass - I braked as hard as I could, until the front let go (I
really could do with a new front tyre), felt the bars twist a bit,
kicked down with my leg, released the brake, braked again, and missed
the bus by about 1m. As I'd kicked down, I whacked my shin on the RHS
cylinder (bmw) and gave myself a bit of a bruise. I suppose if I'd
been wearing leathers (or indeed bike boots) I would have avoided this
    - but hey, it's only a bruise.

My favourite leathers-meet-x incident was when I was riding around the
Malverns a couple of months back, when a car decided to right turn whilst I
was next to it. It wasn't a high-speed incident, but even so, I wasn't even
bruised. However, my knee slider had gouged out a huge cavernous dent along
the side of the offender's car [and I mean HUGE, the door skin, wing and
    bumper all needed replacing].

I don't think my knee would have enjoyed doing that on its own.

I am not in favour of IVF in general.

If a couple have fertility problems due to genetic factors then helping
them to have children is only going to end up with a population with
fertility problems which is self defeating.

There are far better things to spend NHS money on. Just because it can
be done does not mean it should.

Oh, FFS. Shall we cut and paste the rigmarole from last time (a
couple of weeks ago) that we did this?

I missed most of that and just killed the rest of the thread off.
    Good idea.

Bikes, dangerous? It's just as likely you get hit by a car crossing
the street and wind up in hospital...

We should have phoned up that Vine bloke.

"Cars should be banned. One ran over a ginge and we all witnessed it!"

I did 120mph earlier in shorts and a T shirt. Lovely.

On hot days I've done the same but find insects twanging off my nipples
a very disturbing experience. Is there an easy way to solve this?
