NGK Plugs heat range

    Ok - been through Google & can't find anything but I know it's been asked
    before.

    Which direction do the numbers go for hotter/colder?

    I vaguely remember them being a lower number for hotter but am unsure now
    ( booze, age :) )

    Got an old single that fouls plugs due to the unleaded fuel that it HAS to
    run. I read on the MA site that a hotter plug may be needed to reduce carbon
    deposits.
