  1. Catching up on untaken holiday time.

    Oh bliss.

I plan to rebuild an engine I've got knocking around, reorganise the
garage, sort out all the crap there, bin what's binnable and Nige the
rest on Ebay, winterise the 400 Four, fix the loose ignition connection
on the SL, take the Ducati for a blast, clean the BMW, service the 250
and sort out all my boxes of odd nuts and bolts and brackets.

Or I might go down the pub.

I've been off most of this week.

Planned to strip the Tigers carbs (SITC) and pull the wheels and get them
over to Hagons for new rims.

    Actually did sweet FA.

Off for 3 days next week too...

    In communiqué <1i8rm2z.t7vvmk17dry0wN%>,
A similar list of jobs has been on my slate, as it were, for some time.
GFR#2 is at least running again, but it would be silly not to take
advantage of its nude state by repainting the rusty expansion chamber
and dropping the forks out to get the oil seals done.

Once that is back together I must turn my attention to the Morini. I
will be looking in to the demon modern ignition system NLM are pushing,
seeing as it need a new transducer at the least. They reckon the more
accurate timing of each pot gives a noticeable power boost.

The garage reorganisation ought to come before that never seems to some
how. In any case as of tomorrow I am, apparently, eligible for a bus
pass, so perhaps I will sell the lot - NOT. I have a bottle of very old
Amarone I have been saving for the occasion. Hoping it is OK, but a
decent Barbaresco is ready as a reserve.

    The Older Gentleman says...
I cleared a load of space-wasting shite out of my garage today, mostly
old cardboard boxes. That little job uncovered a huge pile of old bike
parts that I need to ebay, so the digicam is being pressed into service
tomorrow and Sunday evening will see some of it listed on ebay, along
with some of my GSXR750L that is now 75% broken for parts. 99p start on
everything should do it - I just want the garage cleared of shite.

Then I have a Scottoiler to fit to the SV650, wire in the Oxford Hot
Hands I've somehow managed to acquire to the SpazzTrakka and fit yet
another Scottoiler to that one as well. I might drag one of the GS500
engines out and strip it because I have one with a knackered top end,
and another with a knackered crank. Sooner or later I'll build one good
one from the two and stick it on eBay.

Then there's my mates ZXR750J that I need to get running (been sitting
outside for 6 years) and also his minimoto that needs an engine swop
with the smashed up one he also owns...and then there's the Italjet 50
kids crosser that won't run right.

I think I've got enough jobs to keep me busy for a while.
