  1. But how "old" do you feel? Age is more state of mind than biology (well for
a few more years anyway). I did my DAS at 38 on a GS500 and am now growing
middle-aged (41) disgracefully on the faired SV! :)

The SV looks better, handles better, sounds better, in fact its just better
than the GS - as others have said, the SV stands up well against the
established mid-range 600s. Its not a balls-out sports bike, but according
to many its an ideal bike for post DAS.

    Cheers

And I've just seen a second hand one in a shop for £2195!
    Cheaper than I thought
    (good nick, 35,000 miles)
(And for those who care, blue)

    Ooops indeed.

The most common cause of failier at the moment are lifesave checks with
leaving indicators on as a close second.
It all depends what suits you. IMO, the CB500 is a dawdle to handle. The
    ER5 is a tad tall.
Makes sense. I would have recommended a CB500, but you didn't get on
with them. You can buy an oldish GS500 for around 800 UKP. Take some
care of it through the winter and sell it for the same money next
    spring. Then get a SV650.

I was able to keep up and pass in the fast group, on my first time at
cadwell park. I think it's a great bike. It makes me smile just about
every time I go out on it.

Stop thinking about it and go and give one a test ride. They're
    competent, friendly and fun.

Cool - that sounds just like mine only with slightly more miles. I'll
bear that in mind when mine goes up for sale in spring. How old was it?
