My bike can go much further than 150 miles on a tank. However, I think it
it is about the optimal distance for a segment of a journey on a bike.

Any longer and I start to ache and my attention drifts. 15-20 mins
refuelling, drinking & pissing and I'm ready for another segment. 3 of
these in a day are a piece of piss. 5 were a chore.

Heh, good point, but in my bikes case I think the lowered right footpeg
(and standard left one) would put you off a bit!

That was quite some time ago, though.
It's not been up the road, it'll be 99.9% stock[1] when it goes, and
    it has no service history.

If I'm offered half the deposit I'll bite his hand off.

[1]I'll leave the double bubble and the fender extender on. The Heli
bars, the cans, the Givi[2] rack and the Baglux cover can go on Ebay.

[2] Last lock gave up the ghost in Sainsbury's carpark tonight. By
'eck was it cold out there.

It is really helpful for me if it spans the middle two weeks of a month.
    First and last are busy.

Ok, post up some more details, as in mileage / age / MOT and tax, and
anything it's likely to need in the near future like tyres or servicing wise
IYHO etc, and if you've got any pics they'll help too.

I'm semi interested depending on the answers to the above... so first dibs
    please.

It's the 997 version that appeals, the Comfort version, not the stripped out
    occasional model.

Get that outfit to the Elefantentreffen and back.

Do a genuine 100mph on the outfit and by genuine I mean a GPS measured
    100mph.

I'm not even going near any speed attempts until the new shock is
fitted along with new front brake pads. After that it's game on.

I probably didn't help by wearing erroneously-prescribed contact
lenses, I was almost blind for most of it.

You need to be on your own and on a mission to get the best out of it.
Wasn't there some list number for doing 1000 kms in one day?
Mine was that time coming back from Spain to Twickenham in about 11
hours or something. Damn you, Paris ring road.

It's odd how many of these intercontinental non-stop rides have a shag
waiting at the end of them.
