That's not far (2-3hours). If you're heading down this way at all then
hospitality is offered. Beer, tour guide, whatever. The email address
in the headers is valid if you need any info.

  3. I did Ancient Greek to O-Level, and the first time I went on holiday
there, was startled (and pleased) to ind I could still read it and
    understand some.

Mind you, the pronunciation of demotic Greek came as a shock. As did
some of the vocab. I think my asking: "When does the ferry leave?" came
out as: "When does the galley depart for end of the world, brave
    sailor?"
With O-level Latin, and French, I find Spanish easy. Just wish I could
stay in one country long enough to learn another lingo.

Are you sure it didn't actually come out as:

"Now then, how much do you charge for a good hard shag?"

    On Fri, 2 Jan 2004 19:11:09 +0000,
As an Engineer, most of the letters already have some sort of meaning
for me. So that's one lesson less.
I've been told with the French background, that it'll be easier. With
SWMBO and family, I understand a fair bit (much to SWMBO's chagrin :)

Written French isn't my forte [1], so I'm going to concentrate on the
    spoken word more.

[1] Actually, I'm shite at it. I can read it, but not write.

  12. it's a fecking great thing; the part number (inside back cover)
    is 99924-1049-51.

The base manual would be useful though. It can sit by the
    toilet with the Haynes BoL...
