New Year's resolutions

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by The Older Gentleman, Jan 1, 2004.

  1. To lose some weight.

To get stopped for three-figure speeding and just to get a warning.

To get utterly wrecked at Chimay this year (again).

To get the Guzzi Le Mans Mark Two I'm after, and get it really, really
    good and sorted.

To be more polite on ukrm, even with the utter fuckwits (this might be
    the post difficult of all).

To acquire an imaginary 2004 R1 (this is easy - see sig).

    What colour?

FWIW, Next on my list is to complete on a garage.[1]

[1] A proper home for my bikes, at last.

Not a bad list at all.
Best to set achievable targets, yeah.
    My bike-related resolutions:

    1) To figure out, finally, what sort of bike I want as my fun /
weekend bike, that would really suit me,

    2) Buy one of the above,

    3) Have a summer biking holiday. Not in Scotland - somewhere nice.

Not yet having three years NCB, there's no real hope for me to get an
imaginary R1, so I've had to compromise.

heh. <thinks> Of course and imaginary R1 shoud be an Ri -- 'i' being
    sqrt -1 :)

So what you're saying is that you don't like being a fat, obnoxious
    pisshead?

  13. No, I *like* being a pisshead, which is why I intend to get wrecked.

That's debatable... It could well be j; since it's a thing designed by
    Engineers and not Mathematicians.

The guy who taught me to ride was banned from using both the training
company BMW and Blackbird - for wheelieing both.

Eventually they made him ride an MZ skorpion 660, so he amused himself
with frequent kill switch backfires instead, as they weren't strictly
    speaking a motoring offence..

    [1] This is serious. [2]
[2] Any motoring offence will be reported directly to the DSA and they
can take my Instructor car off me.

To move what little I have to where it can do some good.

To get a bike. A real one.

To get laid without paying first.

To turn up for a ukrm do or two.

To learn some Greek. I already know more Latin than I want to.
