Nice. But they are small, aren't they?

Even Katie (who struggles with a CG125) can touch the ground on one of
    those.

Whilst you're changing the speedo cable, you may as well get yourself
the little box of tricks that converts the speedo to mph at the same
time. (Does something clever with gears and stuff so that the numbers
read in mph without having to resort to stickers)

    SteveH wibbled incoherently...
The best thing about the kilometer converter is that it derestricts the
    NC30 at the same time

Jap models are restricted to 112mph via the speedo needle. Once you fit
the Kilometer converter, it doesn't allow the speedo needle to reach the
point in KMH on the speedo where the restriction cuts in, thereby giving
    it full top speed.

Yup, 'tis. Going to take a bit of getting used to - but it's pretty
smart, and pokey too. Needs a new speedo cable and have to get tax, but
the bloke that I got it off (part ex for the DT) gave me £100 and also £20
to get the speedo cable, and the £30 for the tax. I ordered a cable from
David Silver - luckily resisting the urge to get a manual, as the lad had
    one to go with it.

Very. The view is going to be difficult to get used to, but the riding
position wasn't too bad. First thoughts were "my feet have to go all the
    way up *there*?" :)
It's light too, though, so I can easily maneuver it in and out of the
garage without having to keep the engine running if a car is parked in the
    way.
Aye, got one of those for the DT, took it off before getting rid of it
though. Didn't want to pay another £30 for one!

Very nice. The CBR, VFR and RVF are super little bikes and I think
it's fair to say I had more hooning fun on my little 400 than I've
    managed on the blade.

I hope it goes as good as it looks, I've always had a soft spot for the
VFR400, it's an excellent bike. Congrats!

just out of curiosity, whats new about them? theyre white on that model
    originally aren't they?

I was considering getting mine sprayed white because I've always thought
white wheels we're nicer, but I dont think it would go with my colour scheme

Heh, I meant new wheels as in new *bike*. :)
The back one shows a lot of oilsplatter from the chain though, so I can
see that I'll be back to using chainwax.

You're still talking about sex with Cane, aren't you? That's why he
wants to get fit in a hurry, then ;-)
