Blame it on the soaring Loonie.

My plan was always to trade in the Venture at the end of next riding
season. As this season was winding down I started looking at what was
out there and the kind of value to be found. Geez I tell ya prices
really haven't been better in Canada, for used bikes, if you spend a
little time looking and are willing to consider US bikes.

Long story short, although we still have a couple of subjects to work
out, the deal is done and soon there will be a new (to me) 2004 HD
Road King squeezed into my bike shed:

Yes it is a US bike, brought into the country by International
Motorsports in Delta BC. They will jump through all the hoops to make
it legal in Canada and I get a very purty bike at a price well below
what they can be had up here.

The downside is it's an 04 without the six speed tranny and the 96"
engine, but I couldn't resist the price. Besides with a little work
you can breath some life into those HD 88's.

Whoo Hooo, can't wait until it gets here and for the first Chinook.

Yes, goodlooking Red Harley. Of course you found it in the US, that's
where they make the dang thangs...(kidding) Let me tell ya, that's
the way to buy a Harley, don ever pay premium price. One doesnt need
to. They are for sale here, right and left. I like to buy a bike, that
some one else put all the dooDads on, and enjoy a good deal, at
    their- expense. bjay--
