so I rode somewhat nervously back from BM Ringwood.

    I survived.

Negotiated the insurance repairs... Booked the bike in for the tues
after Wintersun. Total respray, forks rechromed and refurbished with
new springs etc. Will have to contibute a modest amount to the cost.

I had an Avon from Bruce's this afternoon. Metzeler don't make Marathons
in my size any more, waaaaaah! ObRS: the 120 fits easily.
Me too. Funny, that! It was nice of Bruce to point out that my bike
handles like a shopping trolley full of giblets because the steering-head
    bearings are stuffed.

And speaking of mechanics, it was nice of Doug to set the clock while he
was doing the pushrod tube seals...
Black is baaaaad! Are you going to get the double-line pinstriping?

I like Macadams. Got 20,000 k out of the last set.

Amazing how light the bike feels when you replace squared off tyres!
    Now thats service!
Yep. Going to get it in the same colour scheme it has, blue/silver with
    double pinstripes.

Now all I'll need is a set of Ikons on the back..

On the rear? Impressive. I didn't get half that from a Mac 50 (which are
    good on the R65 though).
He's the man! And I repaid him by faffing around with the cable adjusters
    on his DT175...
Got them for the R65 recently, $460...

Aah, the tyre de jour for my next change. I'm getting ~22k km out of the
Metzeler, so I'd be interested in seeing how the Macadam compares.
