They're only expensive if you pay for them. What you need to do is get
some parents who run a bike business, then do a bit of work on their
PCs now & again in exchange for an endless supply of free tyres.

    The Older Gentleman says...
Correct. I've just bought a 190 and a 120 BT014 to go on my Gixer for
125 quid a pair. I didn't pull any trade strings either, I got them on
    eBay.

    fumbled, fiddled and fingered:
No you said initially "why are they so expensive !"

Then "how much should they be then , for a cbr1000f front tyre ?"

Nowhere, until now, do you mention a comparison. I'm assuming if you've
got to the stage that you've bought a 1000cc motorcycle you would have
had other bikes before, and if so would have an idea of running costs
    from those?

well my local shop quoted :

    78 quid for bt-020 120/70 ( free fitting on a loose wheel.. )
fleabay is 74 inc. with fitting extra..
not worth it me thinks ! ( even if I buy two at a time.. )

PS/ sorry for the pointless post I was just killing some time at w*rk
    ;)
