New Triumph Speed Triple

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Dave Milligan, Mar 13, 2005.

  1. 2005 Triumph Speed triple - I've just seen the only 2 in Australia and
didn't get a chance to ride one, BUT, they look great.

Has anyone on this ng ridden/owned one and what are your impressions?

The production models are due here in April/May so I presume the new
bike has been released to the buying public in the UK.

    tia.

    Kind regards

I don't know why, it's not as if you're far away from an Irishman with
    mental problems.

I saw one today parked outside fowlers in Bristol. Couldnt believe how
small it was compared to my 97 model. Exhausts dont look great. The
back end is really short but there is a ruddy great piece of plastic
sticking out to hold the number plate and mudguard. No longer is that
money I have been saving up destined for one of those, I will just
keep mine, even though it doesnt have as much power etc......

Not a lot different from the last one, AFAICT. Catalyst exhaust, radial
brakes and new wheels, plus some different plastics.

Mined ewe I do love mine.

I posted a new thread yesterday with a link to a review in The Independent.
Nobody has replied to it so perhaps it has gone into the ether.
    Google has it though.
