    well, there's me.
I can only see where someone has replied to you.

Maybe it's the german newsreader. You wouldn't be doing something silly
like using a sig file with an embeded image would you?

Beware the driveshaft. Take it out once a year and check for rotational play: if
there's any the joint bearings are on their way out and you can expect total
failure within 10.000km. Keeping the rear drive splines well greased with a good
EPX grease will lower the stresses on those bearings; as they're sealed there's
no immediate way to improve joint bearing life directly (but with some effort it
can be done nonetheless). Taking the shaft out of the swingarm and putting it
back in is a bit tedious, but with the right sequence of loosening this before
taking off that, etc., it takes me about 1.5h. Loosen wheel bolts, undo front
rubber boot, take out front pivot bolts. Then pull the swingarm backwards a bit,
and undoing the four gearbox output flange bolts is suddenly way less fiddly.
Also when reassembling: hanging the swingarm from the rear frame using a luggage
strap, aligning it horizontally but two cm further back it's way easier to get
    those bolts back in.

Check if it's got a grey coil (prolly not, for that year). Those are prone to
developing cracks and hence cutting out in the rain.

Generator rotor winding tends to fail at 80..100 kkm. The generator telltale
light should light after turning the ignition key and before starting. If it
doesn't, for whatever cause, charging won't be happening.

And in the 'fluids' section of the workshop manual, cross out the '800ml' next
to 'gearbox' and write in '1l'. The gearbox output shaft front bearing will
    thank you for it.

Yep, it's got grease nipples added and assuming I remember to
actually grease it that should help. Bloody BMW, of all the
things that should be set-and-forget ...
    Yeah, I think that's done. I'll check.
Yep, recently changed along with the diode board.
Cool. It's filled up to the level of the plug, do you mean lean
the bike over the other way and 'overfill' it?

[ good mods already done ]
A bit; 800ml doesn't quite reach the filler hole yet when the box is level.
