I was advised the same thing today. I specifically asked about contacts
to wear when I was looking through a viewfinder and the optician told me
that they don't work with a stigmatism, even if it is only slight.

But, at his age it could be Alzhiemers. He could still go to a Neuro
    bod for that though!

He needs a good woman to sort him out, he does.

Apparently it takes time for your eye(s) to adapt to where they should
be, or some shit like that.

    Works for me, anyhow.

Do I get an *extra special* number for being sonnyed twice?

Over and above the oak-leaf cluster, like.

Not to looking at computer screens through glasses designed for distance
work unfortunately. If I had thought about it I would have bought a
pair of 20 quid NHS ones from woolies for the weekend but no, the sun
was shining and the Pacemaker was beckoning so off I went.

    A stigmatism?
Is that a tendency to have holes in your hands and feet?

An eye patch is an effective solution to double vision.

Yep, you're right there. I've got that and have to stick to glasses,
although my GFs sister has stigmatism and wears contact lenses, her
contact lenses have a little dot on them so she can rotate them to the
    right angle.

    He's not up to date.

They do make lenses that do, although not every manufacturer makes them,
so perhaps he has a limited choice of suppliers.

I hope not, 'cos I've lost count now - once you're on the list he's
free to s you as much as he pleases.

Your oak-leaf was for other reasons, IIRC.
