You know how to spoil my day, no mistake. I trust the local provvies

Still, specs, no problem for bikes.

Oh of course, silly me. Well now I know it comes from a reliable source
I will believe it and I have googled and there was a reference to it on
the internet posted only a few minutes ago which only serves to confirm
it. I must rush out and buy one straight away.

    Read the last bit again.

I was referring to the unrealistic fantasy that is '**** off to a farm in
the miles from anywhere', rather than living in the 'burbs. ;-)

I went through it all when deciding which device to buy (TomTom Go). I
believe their stats, no really. Lots of scameras *are* in blackspots, I
have it set to warn me gently at 250 yards. It certainly keeps my state
of alert higher up the scale. Lurves the little blighter I does.

Then you would guess wrong, but, judging by your spelling, the boot may well
be on the other foot. There has been speculation that the government were
going change the law since the Appeal Court ruling in Jan 1998. Please, on
no account, **read** what the quote says.

You could do that in Scotland.

Really? I here London Bridge is for sale cheap as hard-core, interestd?

I don't deny it and my local one certainly proves this but I simply
refuse to see any correlation between "safety" and (the majority of)
drivers using these toys, unless it is something obscure like a lot less
    stress.

If this is so then I shall have to make a point of making allowances
for this happening and change my "looking out for patterns in the
traffic" techniques accordingly. I will gather anecdotal data and
    report back in due course.
