    After 25 years on a Bol D'or you'd think they'd learn!

(Could anyone REALLY put up with a Rollerdoor for 25 years?!)

    I agree.

I wonder how many Honda has shipped to Oz?

Perhaps, in about a years time, when they are selling them off at a more
reasonable price, they might be a good deal.

Given Honda's previous performance with other odd-ball machines, a ride
away price of under ten grand could make it an attractive proposition.

Probably not too many if they've learned anything from this!

It has an appeal but not enough to make me want to buy it. Given the specs
and the marketing blurb it sounds more like a 'crossover' vehicle for those
who can't decide between a scooter, sports bike, or a cruiser.

Ah, what used to be called a "standard bike" before all this niche
    rubbish came in.

In Sydney, recently, they were going for 10 and a half, ride away.

There might be one or two still about at that price, which starts to
make the DN01, if not look good, at least be value for money.

Well, at it's weight and power, sports bike it ain't.

The low seat, feet forward, and almost tiller steering, could make it a
cruiser, although, according to a couple of mates who have them, they do
    go round corners surprisingly well.

At 10.5, ride away, they do seem to be a better deal than say a Vespa
300, for the same money, and heaps better than the big scooters like the
    Bergman.

I'd have been tempted if it hadn't been for the feet forward business,
which doesn't suit by stuffed back.

The fact that it is ugly as sin doesn't really matter 'cos you don't see
it when you are on it. ;-)

I think it's a nice idea spoiled by the styling...

Just out of interest, has anyone here ridden one for any distance? The
price did sort of tempt me but the styling, cruiser type power/torque
figures and paucity of realistic luggage options put me off checking it
    out. Cheers

The 650 Bergman weighs more then my Guzzi. And fuel consumption is
pretty crap as well. 200 klicks empties the 14 litre tank.
We're going to have to revoke your poser permit.

  16. The first time this link was posted I thought "Blerghh - ugly" but
having looked at more of the pics it doesn't offend me. Would be
interested seeing one in the flesh. Can't say I'd ever buy a bike with
feet forward riding though. A mate used to say "The only time your
feet are going to be forward of you is just prior to the crash". I
    tend to agree.

I certainly haven't ridden one, as I said, the feet forward, cruiser
business doesn't work with my buggered back, but the blokes that I know
that have DN01s, all seem very happy with them.

I think that at least one of the mates got some panniers and a top box
which were made for the beast, IIRC on the internet, possibly from
Japan. I'll ask next time I see him.

Obviously, the Honda won't keep up with sports bikes ridden by loonies,
but will proceed at comfortably excessive speeds without any drama.

Last time, which was two months ago, Sydney City M/C, at Lane Cove had
three black ones on their showroom floor and a demo bike.

For the current money, it's a hell of a package of hi-tech whizz
bangery, if it happens to work for you.

Presumably said mate was trying to get his hand over the numberplate
    at the time.
