Riding down to my local bank to celebrate the establishment of a new
    religion.

The bizarre case has reignited debate about the wearing of the burqa in
public - and how far religious tolerance should extend before it poses a
    potential threat to public safety.

Both the Commonwealth Bank and National Australia Bank confirmed yesterday
that while customers wearing a helmet are likely to be tackled to the ground
upon entry, the same rule does not apply to burqas.

"We don't have a policy on that at all, we treat all customers equally," a
Commonwealth spokesman told The Daily Telegraph.

"The difference between a head covering and a helmet would be clear - one
would have religious reasons while one would have an ulterior motive."

Similarly, a National Australia Bank spokesman said: "We make a commonsense
distinction between motorbike helmets and religious dress."

Post offices also prohibit the wearing of helmets and balaclavas - but
    welcome burqas.

"Australia Post respects the rights of individuals to express their
religious beliefs in the way they choose," a spokesman said.

Wear a burkha over your helmet. Problem solved. Anyway, it's not the
banks and post offices and petrol stations who make the distinction
between a helmet and a burkha, it's the government, so asking anyone
else for an opinion is just demonstrates ignorance on the part of the
writer, and anyone who chooses to quote them.

I at least expected a completely different answer to a totally unrelated (or
    unsolicited) question or issue.

By the way, I know you didn't ask but thought I'd provide you a totally
unrelated answer...Here tis! a good dose of vaseline or heavy lube, gaff
tape and a drain plunger....should do the the trick.

Perhaps the word 'comment' would have been better used than 'opinion'.

  9. Could open up a market for leather over-helmet burkhas. Who wants to be the
    first?

  11. So anyway we have now determined the proper gear for a hold up, not much
hotter than a balaclava I should imagine?

But since a comment is simply an opinion by a different name, they're
still a bit of twonk for getting their knickers in a twist when they
get one in response. Anyone who can't handle getting an opinion in
response to a comment should just take their comment and polish their
    orifice with it.
