  4. Couldn't see any pics of the R1200S, just some frog words about it. All the
pics I seen were either R1200RT or R1200ST(The last BMW ST was a road
version of the R80G/S, this is quite different, more like a stripped RT)

Those pictures were not of the R1200S, that is due in 2006, the photos were
    of the R1200ST and R1200RT.

well, another thirty or forty steps backwards and they might have a
    decent looking bike again.

Yes in french that means that the R1200S is due in 2006, the bikes in the
    photos were the 2005 models.

  12. What about the F650ST (or Strada)?
18" front wheel version of the Funduro.

Haven't heard of that one. Gak, a chain-drive single? Bit 19th century
    isn't it?
Scarver has 17" wheels. And belt drive.

  16. He's right and he's referring to a euro version of the first F650 "Funduro",
    not the current series.

The current F650 has three in the range:
    F650GS - soft dual purpose, 19" front, 17" rear
F650GS Dakar (not Paris-Dakar) - more dirt oriented, longer travel
    suspension, 21" front, 17" rear
F650CS (or "Scarver")- city bike, belt drive, 17" front and rear.

The F650ST was euro only, and as Pat said came with an 18" front(and road
tyres) when the regular F650 Funduro had a 19" and dirt tyres. I've seen
    one here in OZ.
