Being the helpful and friendly bloke that I am, I've taken on a project
    for someone I know...building a 1981 Yamaha RD350LC race bike from
scratch, to be run in the Yamaha Past Masters series.

The guy wants a proper potential winner, so the budget is fairly open.
YPM regs allow for TZR250 2MA or 1KT wheels, forks and yokes, so I'm
trying to source those along with a complete TZR250 rear brake system.
We can also use a single Yamaha 'Blue-Spot' caliper on the right side,
so if anyone knows of an R1 or R6 that can donate this part then please
let me know. I'm probably going to end up buying a complete knackered
TZR250 to rob for the forks/wheels/rear brake etc and flog the rest off
    for spares.

I'm getting a well known and respected tuner to sort the engine for me,
the guy has been tuning LCs since they were first heard of and has a
history of building winners, but the chassis is down to me.

If anyone knows of any TZR250 complete front ends and wheels or even
very cheap 350LC 4L0 spares then please email me.

P.s. Champ, I've already signed up to Neil's TZR site.

Best of luck, by the way. Sounds fun.

    Just had a look.

I /did/ have a small box full of assorted Mikuni jets & some front
sprockets. These were from a 4L1 but would prolly have fitted.
Unfortunately I can't find it, so I might have given them away when I
    sold my LC.

    So: not very helpful.

    Yep, 4L1 250 sprockets fit 4L0 350s.
Never mind, it's the thought that counts.

Might I recommend ibuprofen instead? Easier on the liver, albeit not so
    kind to the stomach.

On the bike front I seem to be slowly (& somewhat half-heartedly)
breaking[1] an LC. Unfortunately the voracious appetite for cash that my
laverda has developed kinda preclude the very cheap but if you know what
you need gimme a yell. I've got a set of 375cc barrels & pistons if
    they're allowed :)

[1] I did break it very thoroughly[2] & quite rapidly on the way up to
Knockhill a good few years back & I've finally admitted I'm never going
    to fix it.
[2] One circlip in the reed block & one in the spanny - I stopped
because it suddenly slowed down & started to make funny noises. It was
ticking over but making an awfie racket so I shut it down.
