But he's said that he wants to reach out to other faiths!

OK, so he said it in *Latin*, but it's a start.

We atheists are still fucked, apparently.

For the same reason you'd find it a slight comfort if a non-religeous
friend said they thought about you every night I guess - it's nice to
    know people care about you.
Control? If the god-botherers spent their praying & church-going time
doing something that genuinely helped people, like visiting the elderly
in their area & helping them out with shopping/cleaning etc, I'd have a
whole lot more respect for the church.

I know. Completely unfair. But there it is. I'll email him and ask.

How long ago did you last try it? I use Azureus version 2.2.0.2 and it
doesn't seem particularly cpu intensive. There have been some dire
memory leaks in older versions IIRC.

On the copyright side of things I only tend to download current tv
shows[1] which seems to keep me under my isp's radar[1].

    Umm, a few months ago.

I tried the latest version of BitTorrent this morning, and it was
absolutely dreadful compared with BitTornado. Nothing in the UI to
    adjust download rates? Lame.

I tried the original BitTorrent client once and then found Azureus,
    never looked back.
