  2. In uk.rec.motorcycles, ogden amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
I dunno. I was hoping you'd try it first ;)

    Azureus is Java innit?

The only reason I'd want to change from 3.4.2 is the upload/download
issue but since I've installed this:
    http://www.cfos.de/speed/cfosspeed_e.htm everything's been really whizzy
and I can leave an upload going at full tilt with no real noticable
    effect on any other traffic.

You suppose rightly, but many more are infected by being gang-banged to
the 20 odd guys can 'heal' themselves. There have been incidents
reported where it happened to 6 months old babys, under the believe
that there is a good chance them still being a virgin. How about that?

What does the pancreas have to do with your cock?
And no, I'm not wrong. Trust me on this one.

    It isn't because they're a child - it's because they're more likely to be a
    virgin.

    I doubt it's even availability - I would have said it's education/knowledge
    that's the problem.
You know that it's almost nowhere that people live amongst the 'animals' in
South Africa don't you? Unless you're counting livestock.

As mentioned elsewhere, the problem is that the men go to work in the major
towns/cities. They catch AIDS, they take it home to the villages.

My point wasn't that this website is particularly good in refuting this
misbelief, but that one can easily find any piece of supporting
information for whatever point of view on the web.

I've never been there so how the **** would I know that? I made it
clear I had simply been discussing these problems with a group of SA's
who escaped to the UK and Ireland. Anyway nature will ensure that the
animals will backfill any space created.
Oh I think I'll just stay in NI and live with the rain

I would suggest you should read the expert opinions:

"Male circumcision and risk of HIV-1 infection"
    by Robert Darby in LANCET

    the precise reference would be
    Lancet, The; 363 (9425): 1997-1997 JUN 12 2004

    A short excerpt read:

    "No protective effect of
    circumcision on HIV prevalence was
shown. The UK Gay Men’s Sex Survey (4)
of more than 14 000 men showed a
    significant association between being
    circumcised and being HIV positive—an
association that was consistent across all
    ethnic groups and age groups."

    (4) United Nations High Commissioner for
    Human Rights. HIV/AIDS and human
rights. Geneva: Office of the United Nations
    High Commissioner for Human Rights,
    2002. http://www.unhchr.ch/hiv/index1.htm
    (accessed Apr 7, 2004).

I included the reference for follow ups.

Now, I, personally, would put slightly more weight on the Lancet and an
UN body than a BBC website.

From the BBC site: "He has also .. once denounced rock music as "the
    vehicle of anti-religion"."

    Now *that's* bad.

Though his nick names have a certain apeal:
"The job earned him unflattering nicknames such as "The Pope's
    Enforcer" and "God's Rottweiler"."
Perhaps Hitler Youth rubbed off more than we imagined.

and as for the lack of humanity, he was also against social action to
    help the poor:
"Some priests became involved in fighting poverty through social
action, but to Cardinal Ratzinger it smacked of Marxism."

    Could be interesting..

I have to admit that my first post was rather tongue in cheek, but
reading that BBC page alone has raised my hackles somewhat.

Didn't JP2 lead them into the 21st Century a few years back...? :)

Ignoring the whole futility of organised religion, the papers were
predicting an old pope this time anyway as, apparently, they'll be looking
for one who will pop his clogs pretty quick and not have a lasting influence
    so no worries really[1]

    Dave

[1] Apart from the worries already prevailing re: the Catholic church and
organised religion in general etc etc etc

PS. managed to get to episode 4 of SP series 6 so far and have only nearly
pissed myself/spat on the keyboard about a dozen times... I see a fair few
late nights being in order once I get back from France so I can watch series
    7 & 8....

Fucking Sky kept changing the times.. I'm soooo 2002 ATM...
Is on Passion of the Jew DVD and fucking brilliant (and relevant ATM with
new pope and Wacko Jacko trial...)

Strangely enough also on Passion of the Jew DVD

Not seen the others yet... But I will get there...

Assuming the NS has blown up by the start of May so I won't be out on
    that... :)

Of course I have realised that, even though the chateau is broadband free, I
may be able to set a Bear-trap using some string, an old colander and the
box sets of series 1-5 to get you project managing the last stages of the
    renovation... :)
