... seem to be all the rage hereabouts.

dabs.co.uk have done the biz and all the bits ordered Friday arrived
just now, following all the excellent advice from all you lovely
people. I shall be shutting down now, for total rebuild porpoises - I
    may be some time.

See you on the other side ...

Good luck and back up all your bits, including favourites and address book
    etc.

I reckon by the time you're finally up & running, you'll have to hit
"catch-up" to clear the backlog ...

    Yeah, just bought myself a nice Shuttle SB75G2 with a P4 3.2,
    1Gb RAM, 200Gb SATA, Radeon 9800Pro and a 16x dual-layer DVD Writer.

That damn Half-Life 2 game is *very* expensive!

That's what I'm planning to build, without the extra graphics card
(the shuttle already has pretty good graphics onboard, and I don't
play games). I'm going to go for one of the ultra quiet cases, and
probably only put 512Mb of RAM, and a slightly cheaper processor in,
    too.
    Have you considered Get-A-Life?

In a motorcycle newsgroup, surely that counts as real life?

I think that Champ was referring to the type of hobby, rather than
    cost of the hobby.

Yes, but that wasn't as good as going bike racing next
season and boring the tits of everyone about it, so I'm
    doing that instead.

Speaking of which, you really did smash the **** out of those
carbon fibre airtubes didn't you? I was clearing up the garage
t'other night and had a look at them properly, but luckily the
shape is quite simple so I should be able to sort them.

I also think the bike would run a bit better without all that
    newspaper stuffed inside them...
