  1. ....now with added Quill T3!

Note to self: in future do not attempt to start bike without silencer,
    even just out of curiosity.

I've got one of those. Not too loud, but much deeper :) Does it feel
like it's making more power though ? It *seems* to make a slight
    difference to me.

Especially when still inside the garage, no doubt.

What happens? Is it just offensively loud, or will it **** the bike up
    too?

Run a biek without a silencer can, in extreme circumstances, cause
some damage to exhaust valves/ports in the cylinder head. It would
require some prolonged, high rev use, tho, imo

Although there's a temptation, it's a very slight one. Even though
it'll probably just be very loud I think I'll give it a miss.

I fired up the SV without the end can when I put the race can on it.
Much the same as Darren's experience, I turned it off again rather quickly.

So the chance of damage is, as Champ implies, rather low :)

In an enclosed space, yes it was somewhat offensive.

As for fucking the bike up, I hope not - I'll take Champ's word for
    it.

  11. Try telling me mate Dave. His micron can broke and fell off his
ZZR1100 (4 into 1) about 10 miles from home at 11pm. He stopped,
lobbed it in the hedge and rode home without it. He then went back the
next day, with ear ache, and retrieved it.

I started and ran my Guzzi up and down our road without the silencers.
    It set off car alarms.

    My, my wasn't I popular ....
