  5. I was wondering why all of these sportsbikes are moving to underseat
    pipes nowadays. Just fashion? Probably the aerodynamics make a bit of
    difference, but when you put a rider on top, does it matter much?
    Probably when well tucked in.

    Anyway, I was thinking, might it be that all these bikes need clean
    emissions and silent pipes, which this design makes easy? And more
    importantly, difficult to change with an aftermarket can? Or would
    manafacturers not care a hoot about what you do to the bike after
    it is sold? I could actually see the marketabilty (warning, thread
    crossover) of a bike being higher if you could easily bung a few
    carbon-titanium-iridium cans on. Or would that be considered
    unethical?

    It's not a replacement for the Hornet. It's aimed at the same niche as
    the Bandit 600.

    The faired one isn't that great, but the unfaired bike looks good in
    the flesh.
