Yebbut, if the walls have been pulled in and yet the outside
dimensions remain the same, what occupies the space in between?

You do realise that using a paraffin heater will increase condensation?

I suppose it goes without saying that as soon as you ohl a logburner,
opportunities to acquire logs dry up faster than ether in a desert.

    Ubbgre, I said it...

  6. Oh yeah?

How many alchemists do you know? Do they have the Phil Officer's Stone?

Yep. I think that's how they used to made turpentine: put a load of
fir branches in a kettle and heat it up and catch the vapours.

  9. 1/365,000,000 years to get a measurable amount (In teaspoons)

You can molish charcoal, tar *and* methanol much more easierly by
heating wood in a closed vessel.

  10. CaO - quicklime.

To molish it worthwhile you'd arrq to get a lot of free very-hotness.
Otherwise the raretl you put in will far outweigh any you can get
    (theoretically) from the product.

  11. Thank you.

I sit corrected. Just one thing though: whose wife?

  12. Any wife will do. If you have a choice whichever comes to hand first.

Yes I know. I used to own a paraffin powered space heater that was like
a small jet engine when it was running. Consumed a gallon an hour :)
I know exactly how much water vapour is generated :)

    I meant this type:

  17. Has anyone here got a shedburning stove?

I was at a garden centre sales shack yesterday, and the 'droid said she'd
recently sold a lump of cast iron to a chap who made wooden toys, so had
lots of spare wood for heating his jbexshed.

Porbably not a question for the bikers, as they may not be so keen on
    external combustion of their motors.

    actually posted the message.

  19. Oh, useful, ta. They are off the ground, but not covered. I do have spare
rolls of shed roofing felt, as a result of a minor miscalculation.

  20. There is 'bio crude' but that requires bio-waste, water, heat, pressure,
and six minutes. Needs a further lot of energy to process it because it
contains surplus amounts of oxygen, or something, that has to be removed.
