So not really a shed at all, yet?
Fine sheddi theorising. Deserves to be in our FAQ. If only (etc...)

I couldn't buy one with double doors, so I bought it with a blank end
and made the doors myself. It is rather spiffy. Wider would have been
much better, but not enought room :-(

  3. Blimey. When did I last see a 'my-deja' email addie?

It must have been lurking at the back of the shed, no?

  4. I reached that point years ago, except that it was in two toolboxes and
    on a load of shelves.

Now it's all in one spanky red trolley-on-wheels, and all the villains
have to do is hitch it to a towbar and drive off with it.

You're lucky you've collected your engine because it'd be going down
the tip as punishment for cross posting to that crowd of wankers.

I don't keep my tools in the shed.
Just the bikes and the various motion lotions and easing unguents....

hmmm. Perhaps it's in another chapter, but I didn't see the spatial
axiom: No matter the size or capacity of said shed, it will fill up.
(Unless, of course, the owner is an anal-retentive neat freak, in
which case it is not a shed, but a display case.)

  16. One does not want to overfill it, or it may shrink to revealing
    proportions for behind-bikeshed activities.

Which might bestow a hole arj meaning to having a fag behind the bike
    shed...

  17. <surveys 30x24' space full of crap>
    Yep, you're dead right.
There's enough space in there for many bikes and three cars, but not one
    lives in it now.

That was so obviously axiomatic it didn't make it into the FAQ

  19. I think you have it right.

My shed, when it was arj, was the size of a small garage. The obligatory
bag of cement has now turned into a solid block and gets in the way, as
does Her apparently expanding collection of plant pots.

I now have to move stuff out of the way whenever I need to de-entropy the
motorbike that resides in the shed.

The workbench turned into a sort of wide shelf for storing Potentially
Useful jars of Stuff, or maybe it's jars of Potentially Useful Stuff,
    shortly after I molished it.

All the wood offcuts, too good to just throw away, that used to live
neatly under said bench, have sort of cascaded out.

The welding workbench does actually get used, but is slowly tuning into a
wide shelf for storing Potentially Useful Stuff (fireproof).

That's a bad mistake straight away....
I bought my 'her' a greenhouse. This is actually full of pots.
Potting actually goes on outside despite the bench I made inside the
greenhouse which is now a pot stand.....
Heh. Buy a log burner. I've never been so short of offcuts :D

I the 'work place' I have a bench that I built over my giant oil filled
dc welder. [1] It has a pillar drill on it. You can just about see it
    :)

    1. I have a piece of 14" x 12" oak beam to stand on so I can reach the
pillar drill . It's quite big welder......
