OK, want new bike. Want it on decent finance deal.

Suzuki are doing a 0% deal for the next ten days or so, but only on the
    following models..

    DR-Z400SM,
    DR-Z400S,
    Bandit 650,
    Bandit 650S ABS,
    SV650,
    SV650S,
    GSR600,
    SV1000
    SV1000S.

Im moving from a Fazer 1000, but wont be using it for anything other than
comuting along the A40 into town..

So, which would the FOAK recommend ?...

You don't say how far you're having to travel.

I'd take the SV1000S if it's more than 50 miles each way.

    mostly staionary..

they've had the offer on pretty much all year.
if it's genuinely just for commuting a shortish distance in heavy
traffic, then you want the lightest, most manoeverable, cheapest to
run bike in the list, which is almost certainly the DR-Z400 either S
or SM - and the SM is probably better as you don't need the bigger
    wheels/knobbly tyres on the A40.

It'd be no use if it's your only bike and you want to tour, mind.

The only other bikes in that list that I'd personally consider for the
requirements you have would be the GSR600 or - maybe, given it's a
grand cheaper - the Bandit 650.

I don't know the road, but if there's enough width to filter with the
wide bars, I'd go for the DRZ-SM. If the lanes are very narrow, go for
the narrowist bike (probably the SV). Something like a 125cc scooter
might make more sense if that really is all you'll be using it for.

Correct or not, I'm still disgusted with myself, & plan to angle grind
my feet off just as soon as I finish work.

Don't be silly, a little thing like no feet won't stop me riding.

It is actually a very sensible sugestion.

    BURN HIM!! BURN HIM NOW!!

(they do actually include a scooter in their offer, but I removed that
    option)

I bought my Yamaha on a similar 0% deal... anyone know if Honda run such a
    thing ever?..

OK, if, when angle-grinding your feet off, the sheer agony makes you
spastically flap your arms around, and you manage to cut your head off
    - *then* can I have your MV?

of course, the *most* sensible suggestion would be to buy a scooter on
the 0% finance deal and keep your Fazer...
    never seen them do it.
