    Hi group,

I just got me a new 12v battery and have fearfuly filled it
with the acid it came with. It then rather strangley read
12.8v across it, but I belive I'm supposed to charge it anyway.

I have a 0.9amp charger, so shall I just plug it in and not
let it go above 14.1v or something?

    bit confused,

Thanks Robbo. I charged it for 4 hours and got it up to 13.8v and then
quit for the night. If I put my ear to it I could detect the sound of
tiny fizzing bubbles and the occasional farting squeek of gas, and it
kinda put me off leaving it on all night |
    That's good to know ;)
