Should a new set of bars be essentially one strip of unblemished metal
or should it have marks all over it like it's been ground in places
    where the bits would sit.

My old ones were like that but I presumed the marks were to do with
having the instruments on and off a few times.

Note : I am both top and bottom posting here. Be Happy.:)

    Yes, I'm crying. lol.

New bars should be unmarked in my rather limited experience (I've only
    ever once replaced a set).

OK the marks on my old bars and new bars appear to be pretty much
identical. The only discernible difference (besides the bend) is that
the unbent ones definitely came out of a Hysong labelled bag.
Since they match I am thinking they may be right but Hmm.

Anyway here's pics of the new ones, on the bike. In addition to this,
there's some gluey crap in the right side where the weights screw in.

Excuse the picture quality, it's a Fuji.

Given the mislabelled fork as well, I am somewhat curious.

That's just crappy finishing. Theyre probably kosher.
