One of my close friends has had a new website built to promote her
childcare business. Can any of you who know about these things have a
look and give me an honest opinion and where she could improve it
    please.

She needs to advertise it a bit more.

I assume you're asking this because you think you don't know enough
    about websites & their design?

If so, you're proabably the best person to give an opinion, rather than
a we bsite "expert" IMO, since if *you* can't navigate around and find
the relevant information then no-one can.

Of course, criticism (constructive or otherwise) can always help and I
suspect there'll be someone along shortly to request the URL.

Is it just possible that he doesn't want to give the address on Usenet,
but will send it via mail to anyone who asks?

darsy did this when he was developing ukrm.net, IIRC.

I deliberately didn't put the site address on here because I wanted
serious opinions, not your usual half arsed attempts at humour. Anyone
who can help is welcome to the address if they contact me by email.

    Lozzo wibbled:
is your addy in the header good?

If it is I'll send over some homework for your friend explaining SEO in
some detail which she may or may not be able to do. If not, if she's
getting someone in to do it, at least she'll understand if they're full
of shite or not, which they mostly are.

Erm, I could do with learning some of that.
Can I have some homework too?

On that basis, my website should be off to a good start.
Now I hope to learn from Buzby's homework.
