need some help please

    My Daughter has just started to bike ride and on sunday after a ride out she parked her bike next to my car how ever our drive is on quite a slope and the bike rolled off the side stand (left in neutral) and rolled into my car, she managed to pick the bike up but the textile trousers she was wareing stuck on the hot exhaust and meltedonto it,she now has a big black plasticy residue on the exhaust any ideas how we can remove this without scratching the exhaust (its a brand new bike) we have tryed running the bike to get the exhaust really hot but this doesnt seem to help much other than smear it further..please any help out there ty Caza
