    nationals.

Mm, as much as you are right, I suspect that the countries involved might
    have taken a dramatically different
view to what would have amounted to murder & an act of war then they have to
a couple of "towel heads" being kept locked up.

Really! the USA couldn't even keep the development of the Fission and Fusion
    bombs secret.

Europe. France and Germany together will be able to lead Europe *if*
they had right on their side. The UK would end up sitting on the
    sidelines... as always!

All of these nationals are at best "anti-patriotic" and at worst willing
to fight against their 'motherland'. On this basis, how much of a ****
do you think the nations give about their nationals.

The cuba behaviour is none the less outrageous though.

I don't understand this in context. I do believe that the American (and
British) states can be considered evil for what they've done to
Afghanistan and Iraq (during the years of sanctions).

I don't like human nature though...

But by the general standard they are pretty benevolent?
Myself, I am surprised that the USA isn't A LOT more beligerant in the world
today, it could get away with it. I'd make a very good Pres...g
That's an insoluble problem! though alchohol might do it....

Nope this falls down. There is no global definition of *right*... other than
    opposite left.
Europe as the centre of rights, human and otherwise. My 6th history sense is
tingling. If there was no USA we would be a right sorry bunch by now.

I'll make that conditional. I contend that if the 3rd Reich had prevailed in
WWII the average lot of the individual in the world at large *might* have
    been the same or better.

    XLIII.

The Grape that can with Logic absolute
    The Two-and-Seventy jarring Sects confute:
The subtle Alchemist that in a Trice
Life's leaden Metal into Gold transmute.

    XLIV.

The mighty Mahmud, the victorious Lord,
That all the misbelieving and black Horde
Of Fears and Sorrows that infest the Soul
Scatters and slays with his enchanted Sword.

Are we back to Hawkwind again?

If so I preferred the lyrics to Adjust Me.

That was mainly because a few British (and not-so British) scientists
decided to share the knowledge of the Manhattan Project with those in the
USSR, in the interests of "world peace".

Brighter than a thousand suns by Robert Junck is a good read in relation

Er... the Clash and the Damned are 1970s.

Nothing wrong with that by the way.
