I wasn't referring to you. It has been done to death elsewhere over the past
    few weeks.

The S word isn't used in UKRM
You definitely am a TC in this case. I'll trade it off against Compaq's
apostrophe catastrophe if you like ;-)

I was referring more to Burnt than you, but I can imagine it's been done to
    death......

Any particularly amusing thread subjects I should be Googling for?? ;-)

You're taking newsgroups *way* too seriously if you think one individual
can "poison the air" by what they post. Other than the number of posts
UKRM doesn't seem all that different since Bear's departure, the same
are being said but different people are saying them.

It's all much of a muchness really.

    [big snip about Bear]
I think you are giving him far too much credit for having an influence
both over yourself and everyone else on this group. You make ukrm sound
like a place populated by people without the ability to read, think,
reason and reach their own views.

Put simply he didn't like you and you didn't like him.

Not strictly true, he's seen as an object of riducule because of the
Norton Commando that was almost as fast as Concorde.... And he's
    Northern.

Actually Ginge, I was proved correct on the 140mph commando thread, and
Champ acknowledged it. Baloo tried to continue the impression that there
was no 140mph road going commando, but thats because he couldn't *bear*
to admit he was wrong (no surprise there then)..

In a way you've neatly proved Des' point[1]
Because hardly anyone wanted to contradict Baloo because of the slagging
which would ensue from HotAIrBear and friends, he could get away with
bending reality and have the gullible accept it. Thus you think I was
successfully rubbished by Bear over the 140mph commando when in fact I
    showed it to be true.

[1] note the nifty use of the apostrophe Des
