"Participants will be subject to a breathalyzer test, a zero tolerance
    policy will be in operation."

Not that much beer potential then.

There will also be a large display of the latest speed checking
equipment, scattered at several points outside the site. No pre-booking
    required.

Well I'd have been up for beer were it not for the fact I'm on a
training course in London all week :eek:/
CG125 and the entire Piaggio range.

    Indeed.

The training company is in Tabernacle St (EC2A 4DT) near Liverpool St
Station. Anyone recommend a decent (cheapish) hotel nearby?

If it's as bad as last year, you'll regret it.

    Utter crap, it was.

That's Kiran's neck of the woods I think, maybe he'll know somewhere.
However, for hotels, it's usually a case of choose 2 from "London", "decent"
    and "cheap" ...

I know it's a shame. I tend to ride smoother when I'm a little bit
pissed. Oh well I'll have to do all the rides before lunch in that case.

Very true. I'll probably end up at the nearest Travel Inn. No chance
of being disapointed that way as you know exactly what the room will
look like before you've opened the door.

Better than some London 4 star hotel rooms.

These days that's my take on it too. Plus with London you can spend the
whole evening out so it's just a comfy bed and a shower you need.

I'm going on the 27th and staying over locally [beer potential ;-)]
Now that's something I agree with.
It all seems to be a lot smoother after a pint, and I mean *A* pint. Maybe
    it's psychological.

Not that I condone riding under the influence you understand

Well, there's a Travelodge type place between Liverpool St and Aldgate,
which I know Eddie has stayed at before. As you say, cheap and
    cheerful[1], although it's about a 10 - 15 min walk from where you need
to be (which IIRC is much closer to Moorgate/Old Street than Liverpool
Street). You might be able to find something a bit closer.

Otherwise, for top end nearer where you sra, the Great Eastern is
    supposed to be good.

[1] I recall signs outside saying £70 per night.

Oh of course. I've tried it when I've been completely cunted and I was
all over the place. A danger to myself and other road users. Four pints
    of Stella seems about right.

Ah well - we went because we fancied spending the day looking at lots
of bikes. It largely met our expectations. That's why we're going
    again this year.
