the leisure centre itself isn't too bad, actually. If you're worried
about parking your car in pikeyland, you can leave it at mine, and we
can go over in my car.

hardly matters then. I'm not a member, so I need to book in person,
apparently, but I'll do that tomorrow morning when I'm at the swimming
pool - I was thinking around about 10:30 - that OK with you?

Same here, money, bills. Sometimes Paul earns more, sometimes me, but as
long as the bills get paid and we have our own bikes we're happy

She will, it just takes a bit of time to adjust. I think it's the best way,
    certainly works here.

**** me, I thought I was the only weirdo who operated in this way. All of
my married associates keep money matters entirely separate.
My brother (a prize twat) even has a separate house to his missus (mined
    ewe, she is welsh).

Hmm, I can see your point, and 17 odd years into my arrangement I can see

Sometimes it would be nice just to bloody well buy something without having
    to justify it.

But there you go, I am a rather old fashioned sort of chap when it comes to
    family finances.

I've now got myself organised, so organised in fact I'd forgotten that
I'd put in for the day off and had it granted, months ago.

Well I've now got a ticket, so I'll be there on Friday.

    This is good, yes...

    Cane :
We have 3 bank accounts. 1 gets my wages, 1 gets SO's wages, and 1 gets
enough from each of us to pay the rent, bills, food, sundries, and the
    massive xmass alcohol bill.

The rest we spend how we want. Given our different values (Amanda buys
custom made furniture constructed from reclaimed ancient wood, and
chooses her gym based on the absence of children; I like nice 'home
entertainment' stuff and carbon fiber wheels) any other way would just
    lead to arguments.

We both earn about the same (well, she's on about 10k more, the bitch),
but if one of us was poor, or stayed home to look after the kids or
something then maybe it would be different.
