  5. You are either in the useless class or have never been taughtto read a map.

Doesn't matter where you are, if you have a map, you can always find out
    where you are.

    You need lessons ??

I can show you how to find out where you are as long as you have a map, all
    it will cost you is,

    $50.00 and travelling expenses
I will guarantee you will know after a short three hour session
you will never be lost again
you may be lost and not know where you are going
but you will know where you are.

Reminds me of this neat quote I came across:

"You can do everything right, strictly according to procedure, on the
ocean, and it'll still kill you, but if you're a good navigator at least
you'll know where you were when you died." Justin Scott.

Actually it is a little more useful than that.

If you know where you are then you know if you should be panicing a
    little or a lot :)

Garmins latest mapping (City Navigator Europe v9) has reasonable
    coverage of Greece.
Last years mapping, CNE v8, was quite poor.

You can only use it with Garmin GPS of course.
    Mapping supplier is NavTeq

Is there any way, short of buying the Garmin and the NavTeq maps, that I
can look at the mapping? Perhaps thru the internet?

Hmm, I read the small print on AutoRoute and find that the mapping is
    NAVTEQ Copyright 2005.

Apart from Athens its self, the mapping for Greece is terrible.

    Garmin have an online viewer.
You need to pick a spot and zoom in on it.

    I work for GPSOZ.
You can come over to our Mona Vale store and look at it on a PC

Garmin MapSource City Navigator Europe NT v9. is listed for download free
    using Bitcomet.
    The file is 1.4 gig
Most likely it is a pirated cracked version but will sufice to view the
detail and give you an idea of what is available.

I see your point now. I've always considered pointing to be non-verbal
    directions.

    Oh!

I think I'd be quicker to ride over to Mona Vale, and visit GPSOZ.

It would be more fun, too.
But, thank you for the info.
