Nasty accident this afternoon - long

    And either way , though the cause of this accident seems to have been
    rider-muppetry , the results could be just as bad if the blame was wholly on
    a car driver. Seeing someone lying there with a leg folded under them tends
    to emphasize the risks of biking and could take the fun out of it

    No, but I wore a poachers jacket in those days with all my tools in it. I
    could even change an exhaust valve at the side of the road. It was most
    amusing if I had left my jacket on a seat in the pub, and some bloke
    wanting the chair would lift the jacket. The look on the face was usually
    priceless. Cue thirty pounds odd of metal hitting the wooden floor.

    Indeed. I tend to take my runs down there on weekdays though, and for
    some reason I prefer it in the East to West direction. I knock off the
    speed well before this point and Stanmore Hall (Caravan Site).
