    Mine should handle significantly better with all the fancy new
    suspension components[1] & poly bushes. With a bit of luck I'll get the
    brakes fitted today, then it should be ready for an MoT next week.

    [1] The composite rear spring is a work of art, & weighs about as much
    as a sandwich.

    Well as this thread began with wheel nuts, I thought it might not be a bad
    idea to keep them in the discussion.
    I tend to use metric threaded nuts for metric threaded bolts/studs/whatever
    and the same thing with UNF, BA and Imperial, so no I've not tried mixing
    and matching.
    I'm sure it does, but you're pressing a point that was never made. I said
    that there's no perfect match and so far you've not convinced me otherwise.
    "Close", "pretty close" and "might" aren't "perfect".
    I wonder what your definition of perfect is? "Close enough" doesn't do it
    for me.

    In the case of 19mm v 3/4" I'd say you'd be hard pushed to describe it
    as being less than perfect. You'll get a bigger difference in the
    tolerance on the flats across the fastener.
