In my defence (?), I was still pretty green on a bike. I had probably
about one accident per month in the short six months that I DR'ed.

FWIW, I was counting anything that ended in hospital as a major,
anything that I could stand up after as a minor, and anything involving
    a shrubbery as comical.

Ah, okay. But is it a "minor major" if you get taken to hospital,
checked over then chucked out straight away?

If so, I've had one "minor major", quite a few minors and one or two in
    there, that I'd consider comical.

What if you can stand up afterwards, ride home and then go to hospital
to get your broken arm plastered? Is that a major minor?
And what if you landed in a shrubbery first, breaking an arm in the process?

See. Christofire's definitions need a lot more work.

    I propose

    Major/Major : Dead
    Medium/Major: Ace
    Minor/Major : Me (see above)

Major/Minor : you can stand up afterwards, ride home and then go to
hospital to get your broken arm plastered.
Medium/Minor: you can stand up afterwards, ride home and then forget
    about your broken arm
Minor/Minor : you can stand up afterwards and ride home

Comical : All others that don't fall into the above categories and
    don't involve injury.

  10. Saw a comical yesterday as I was walking out of the Uni. Kid on a
sc**ter was rolling down the road towards the gate into the Uni; there was
a grrl about 5 metres from the gate and me about 10 metres behind her.
"He's not going to, is he?" Yep, he came through the gate onto our path.
"Bloody hell, it's bad enough that the cyclists want to use the footpaths,
but now sc**ters too?" But, he decided to be a considerate c*nt and
immediately rolled off onto the grass to his right. "Hmm, that grass
hasn't been mowed in a couple of weeks, I wonder if anyone's told him how
slippery damp grass is?" As he passed the grrl and rolled towards me, he
was gathering speed down the slope -- I realised then that his engine was
off. As he approached me, he decided he needed to slow down, grabbed the
front brake, washed out the front wheel, and landed ungracefully beside me
to the sound of breaking mirrors and crunching plasticware. Since he had
a helmet on, I assumed he wasn't an opportunistic thief and just continued
    on my way.

No, it appears he hadn't been told about wet grass...

Are you referring to your comedy lob on ice, or when you nearly
removed your scrotum on some jagged baglux buckles ?

    Comedic for us, yes :)

Don't forget Pip on this one. He rode over with me to laugh at you and
recover the bike and he then caught a small hours ferry home several
days earlier than intended thus freeing up the later one so you could
**** about for a few days in Douglas.
A replacement 10R isn't going to be too painful, insurance might sting
a bit, jeans and trainers you can get from Asda.

I can do you a very good deal on a Scorpion end can (titanium version)
now I've lashed out loads on a full Akrapovic system for mine.

The jigsaw is now 90% complete because the main items used to get
Fozzies 10R up to knocking on 180bhp were a full system, a power
commander and a big air box. I've got all the bits and Slick's got the
pc maps so now I need to buy him beer and throw him cash.

Don't bloody complicate the situation. There is no medium. Ace should
    be happy with a medium/major.

Not at all. I've discussed the matter with the insco[1], and given an
abridged version here as there's certain details that I consider their
business and not the business of a public forum.

[1] hence them being helpful, as they helped work out the next steps I
