December 27th is the best bit of Xmas, cos then, hopefully, it's all
    over.

No. It's the best bit of Xmas because it's my birthday. So I can annoy the
**** out of all the other miserable bastards by still being a celebratory
    wanker.

  8. In most cases, it's sweet, but not in all cases. I just asked SO. She
shrugged and said, 'Ãa peut Ãtre les deux, un pain ou un gÃteau' ...

    the lines of:
I agree overall. However, it means I have to remember that the next day
is the 28th, which is my wedding anniversary.

I prefer the 2nd of January, then I can be *sure* that it's all over.

    I like that.

    I like sour-dough, too.

    And rye.

"Ben likes bread" seems to sum it up.
I've had salmon in the eggs, and I've had cheese in the eggs. Both
fine. I'm both together would be fine, too, except that it's tending
very slightly to the American fondness for adding more and more
flavours to something until the original sense is completely lost.
Look at an average meal in an American chain such as Chilli's - every
plate has far too many flavours on it. Look at having raspberry syrup
added to your coke, and vanilla syrup added to your latte.

    Fuckers.

Don't ask Neil to do things proper, like. He can't help himself. :)

  15. Baileys with your Rice Crispies (and a big lump of clotted cream on
    top).

Personally I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole but Herself likes it..

Well, it would have to be cheap-as-****
    brewed-in-an-industrial-facility-in-Sunderland cider, rather than
    "real" cider.

Say, for example, a 2 litre bottle of 8.5%/vol "White Lightning" -
    that'd do the trick.

have you tried wheaten bread? I mean the actual sliced wheaten loaf,
rather than the brown-soda farl style things? The sliced stuff makes
excellent - if rather hard - toast, which goes brilliantly with blue
    cheese.
Not too much cheese - and added right at the end, so you get little
melty islands of cheese in there, rather than having it disperse
through the eggs and just make everything a bit cheesy.
I agree wholeheartedly - I enjoyed eating at IHOP when I was in the
States, but I really do not want pancakes with syrup on the same plate
    as steak and eggs.

The worst thing I have ever tried though, is a Spanish thing, called
Kalimotxo, which is 1/2 and 1/2 coke mixed with red wine, on ice.
    Totally vile.

it actually tastes *worse* than it sounds.

The Spaniards seem to fucking love it, for some reason.
